Seamus,
I recently registered but cannot find out how to post. The help tells me to go to a thing on the dashboard, bbut it isn’t there.

Hi I am a Rudden descendant also. My grandfather was Charles Rudden born in Co. Cavan or Monaghanin Ireland around the late 1800’s. He married Elizabeth Heinz in New York. They had 12 children and my father was one of the 12. Would love to hear more Rudden lore.
Hi I’m a Rudden (obviously) and I live in London with my family, all I know of my family history is that my grandfather is Bernard Rudden who was a professor at Oxford at Brasenose college. If anyone knows anymore about my history I’d be grateful. Thanks
re: Ellen M Rudden. Born 1812. She married Bernard Lynch in 1831-32. Their first child, Catherine was born in Co. Longford in 1832. The family emigrated in 1833, through Liverpool, arriving in New York City, 23 July 1833. They lived briefly in NY but found work in the new mills in Trenton, NJ, where their first American born child, Matthew Henry came to be. The NJ stay gave way to a few years in NY before moving to Lowell, MA o/a 1844. Ellen sibling or relative, Elizabeth Rudden lived with them in 1850 with her daughter Julia. Any further informations about the Rudden’s of Longford or Cavan would be most appreciated.
Hi , Gordon, all my family from Longford, fostra,Aughnacliffe,.On facebook,”Calling all Ruddens Around The World” you might recognise some photos, only just got it going, please join

I’m trying to find my my great grandmother’s roots in the Rudden family. Annie McCabe was born to Patrick Rudden and Susan Brogan.
Has anyone come across any of these names in the Renfrewshire area of Scotland? Annie was born in Erskine, married, and gave birth to my grandmother Mary Ann years later.
Any help would be appreciated. pls email noctame@gmail.com
Paul: Missed your earlier reply. My challenge remains pinning down the birth and marriage Townland for Ellen Rudden (1812-1886), my great-great grandmother. As mentioned earlier she married Bernard Lynch and they emmigrated to America with a new daughter in 1833. My research to date gives me confidence that they were County Cavan or Longford people. I am told that many church records in those counties are still available. Do you have any hints of how I might pursue the research? Gordon
Our family line comes thru Bernard Rudden b. 1826 Ireland married 1855 Pendleton, England to Bridget Glynn b. 1832 Ireland. They Immigrated to New York between 1863 and 1868. Their daughter Mary Ann Rudden b. 1856 England married Robert Michelhaugh b. 1852 NY in 1875.
I don’t have much info about Bernard except his father was James.
Can anyone connect my Bernard to his family?
THANKS
